About SRDT

Santa Rosa Dance Theater was founded by Adele Mitchell, inspired by the tremendous talent of Artistic Director Tamara Statkoun.   From the beginning, our goal has been to create a school where students experience outstanding dance instruction within a warm and nurturing environment.

Our studio welcomes tiny ballerinas and advanced students, inspiring them both to envision a future in dance.   We offer classical ballet classes here at the studio.   We are pleased to offer the level of ballet instruction required for students who aspire to dance professionally.

Santa Rosa Dance Theater is proud to present every December  The Nutcracker Ballet at the Spreckels Performing Arts Center - continuing a wonderful Sonoma County tradition.   Featuring talented local dancers along with choreography by Tamara Statkoun, The Nutcracker Ballet is a beautiful holiday tradition in our community.
In the spring, Santa Rosa Dance Theater presents a Spring Ballet performance. Each year, the Spring Ballet is new and exciting program.
