Our Mission
Santa Rosa Dance Theater was founded in September 2005 by Adele Davalos Mitchell, our Executive Director.   She was inspired by the vision and talent of our Artistic Director Tamara Statkoun.   Adele's goal was to create a school where students could experience outstanding dance instruction within a warm and nurturing environment.   Our studio, in the heart of Sonoma County, offers classes in ballet, pointe, and variations.   We welcome both tiny ballerinas and pre-professional advanced dancers.

Santa Rosa Dance Theater is proud to announce the Santa Rosa Youth Ballet Company!

As a non-profit, pre-professional performing ensemble, the SR Youth Ballet Company's vision is to empower young dancers to achieve their dreams and share their passion with their communities. SRYBC is fortunate to be under the direction of our distinguished faculty, Tamara Statkoun, a former Honored Artist of Russia with the legendary Kirov Ballet, and Gina Ness, a San Francisco native and former soloist with the San Francisco Ballet. The SRYBC's mission is to prepare young dancers for the future by nurturing self-confidence, discipline, and leadersihip, while offering the unique experience of being part of an elite ballet company.
